Heather and Carlos are excellent hosts! Their ranch is truly a special spot and we are so thankful they shared it with us! The cabin is perfectly located on this stunning ranch - it is an easy and beautiful drive to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton. Heather and Carlos take such pride of their property and it shows in the comfort, cleanliness and updates of the cabins! We even got to meet them and their wonderful children and spend some time catching up in the lodge (where the Wi-Fi is great!). We are looking forward to bringing our families back again to visit!

We offer five charming, historic log cabins that accommodate 4 to 6 people. The two-bedroom and one-bath cabins are a perfect getaway for anyone wanting to experience the calm of the mountains or the adventure Dubois, WY offers.
The nation's first National Forest borders what our family has stewarded for what is now a third generation. Keeping the pristine nature for friends, family, and guests has been and continues to be our dream.

We offer five two-bedroom and one-bath cabins for a perfect getaway to those wanting to experience the calm of the mountains. Our cozy lodge is a common area for guests to gather, relax by the fire, and enjoy the view of the meadow and the towering Pinnacle Buttes.
A commercial kitchen is available to groups booking a retreat or wedding. On our property, explore, hike, fish, enjoy wildlife viewing. To ensure private retreats, events, and weddings receive exceptional service and attention to detail, we kindly request a minimum booking of three nights.
What Our Guests Say
Double Bar J is a really special, peaceful, scenic place with a lot of family history. The cabins are super cozy, classic log cabins from the 40's with a lot of original charm and decor, outfitted with all the modern comforts you need. The views of pinnacle buttes from the property are breathtaking. The cabin was well appointed with everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy morning coffee overlooking the buttes. This was a lovely, peaceful getaway and Heather and Carlos could not have been more welcoming + hospitable!

Awesome place to stay, and fantastic value. This location is relatively close to Grand Teton, Jackson, and Yellowstone while also feeling very remote and quiet. 20min to a grocery store. Heather and Carlos are great hosts - easily reachable and super nice. The cabin is exactly as pictured. Surprise bonus and probably our favorite part was that the hosts are happy to let you explore the entirety of their 189 acres. It’s a very cool property full of history and a lot of fun to get to hike in an otherwise private area. Would highly recommend

Amazing location at an 180-acre private ranch bordering national forest. Charming authentic cabin with rooms that were larger than expected (room for a pack-n-play) and a cozy wood-burning stove. Mini-fridge and Keurig. The five cabins are spaced far enough apart for privacy. A shared fire pit sits at the base of the hill to enjoy the epic mountain views. Horses and cows meander around the ranch. My kids had fun walking around with the provided LED “kerosene” lanterns on one dark, rainy night. Would love to come back!

PERFECT! We just stayed one night on our way to the Tetons and Heathers cabin was such a great place to stop on our way from Denver. The only regret we had was that we didn’t have time to spend exploring their beautiful property. Clean. Comfortable. Cozy. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay at the Double Bar J Ranch was amazing! The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The views are amazing. We felt like we had the whole ranch to ourselves, it was so quiet and peaceful. Heather and Carlos were great hosts. The cabin is located about 45 min drive away from the Tetons and about an hour to Jackson. I would say it’s a great location if you are looking to be relatively close to the national parks without paying the high prices. We could have stayed much longer than 2 nights, highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet mountain getaway.

WOW! My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of being the first official airbnb guests. We had such a wonderful time that we extended our stay. Heather was so friendly and the cabin was clean, quiet and filled with amenities. I would absolutely stay with Heather again and have recommended this location to friends and family!
